The Triplet’s 3rd Birthday

Matching Birthday Outfits for Triplets

Our family photos of the triplets coordinating 3rd birthday

What’s more enjoyable than dressing your triplet toddlers alike for as long as humanly possible? If you had asked me this before I had kids, I would have told you I couldn’t care less. But let’s face it, they’re adorable and they won’t stay this small forever.  Since then, I have made sure to coordinate all three for birthdays and special occasions.

When I realized I was 24 hours away from celebrating their third birthday party, I had a mad scramble to find something cute, comfortable, and affordable for them all to wear. Luckily, we have the kids store, Janie and Jack, just down the street with a huge sale department.

I knew I could find something there to coordinate with our chosen colors of navy blue and orange. What I like about Janie and Jack is the quality of their clothes. Yes, buying at full price is outside of my budget, especially for three. However, the quality of the clothes really makes it worthwhile if you can find nice pieces you like on sale.

Tropical Tiered Dress

Not only did I fall in love with these flowing dresses but my girls did too!  I added a coordinating headband to make them feel extra special (especially for my little one without any hair)!  Not only are these dresses perfect for summer events, they are easy for the girls to play in too!  Both of the girls are on the small side (30% percentile) but both a 3T and 4T fit perfectly.  I bought up a size so they can wear them next summer as well.

I also have to say that as adorable that as my daughters look in Disney Princess dresses, I don’t necessarily want those hanging on my wall when I make family photo canvases down the road. It’s funny how so many things you never thought of before you had kids all of a sudden you have strong feelings about once a little darlings arrive.

I always love putting my son in button downs with rolled sleeves.  Here he wears a similar shirt to the link as well as the Janie and Jack shorts linked.  Not only was he able to run around like a little dude, but the dark pants hid any stains.

Another fantastic feature that Janie and Jack incorporates into their clothing is expandable waistbands with elastic straps, which makes them wearable if you size up in hopes that the shorts or jeans will last more one season.

He is a true 3T and the short fit perfectly with room to grow.

Price: Although full-priced Janie and Jack attire is out of my budget for an event for all three. I always find an excellent selection on their sale rack with associates just as excited to help you find a matching outfit there even if it’s been marked down once or twice.

Aria Dress from Thread and Supply

After purchasing this sheath dress I think I have worn it at least twice a week!  The linen/rayon fabric is so comfortable and breezy.  It looks beautiful with a camel colored belt or without.  I did find that I have to wear nude colored bra and underwear with it.  Otherwise it’s the shirt dress to look put together but relaxed.
